A former marshall from Dodge City, decided to set out and go on a journey to invest and make money in a small town of Tombstone. Taken over by the first group of organized crime group called the Cowboys. In this town several laws are broken and several lives are lost due to these law abiding Cowboys. Although these movies take place in the same location, the stories they tell are very different. The plot essentially was the same in the last 2 hours of both films. They had traveled a distance to find wealth in a new town to settle down in. As Murphy's Law states Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong, all at once. This seems to be present in the both of the movies. In ‘Tombstone’ Wyatt's older brother gets shot and is predicted to lose his arm. Soon after Wyatt's other brother gets shot and killed. Then after that he goes after Johnny Ringo, Doc ends up killing him. Again another thing goes wrong and Doc Holliday dies to tuberculosis. With subtle changes from this ‘Tombstone’ and ‘Wyatt Earp’ they essentially have the same plot and show Murphy’s Law. One thing I noticed that these two films had done that some of the other films we have watched haven’t was, in these two films they used the cinematic aspect ratio of 21:9. Most of the films we have watched used the 4:3 aspect ratio and some of the newer ones used 16:9. This aspect ratio makes for a more cinematic experience, and wider shots that can be seen better in theaters. Several other similarities was there costumes, and character assets. Such as in both films the Earps wear black long jackets, and all have strangely fantastic mustaches. Amongst the movies they had a lot of differences along with

The Wild West is cherished by many people today as a period that remains distinctly American. With its sweeping landscapes, lonesome atmosphere, and adventurous pioneers, much can be appreciated about this period. However, the West has become saturated by stylized retellings and conflicting accounts of what really happened. By referencing multiple sources, a true telling of the American West should form, and beginning with a popular depiction of the period would help show just how flawed or accurate the public's perception is about it. Tombstone follows Wyatt Earp and his brothers, most of them being former lawmen, and their attempt to live amongst a powerful gang of outlaws.…

There is only something that doesn't match, the ending. In both stories many things are changed like the persecution and what happened to Ichabod. In the movie they give an alternative ending, Ichabod survives the attack of the hessian trooper and moves out of Terry town and begins a new life with a new family. In Irvings book, they never found Ichabod. The day he went missing the found four clues of his disappearance; Ichabods hat, horse hoof prints, shattered pumpkins and Ichabods horse…

Compared to this new version of the movie, the fence is not present which signifies more freedom, but more wilderness too. In addition the way earp is dressing is classier and more neat compared to “my darling clementine” shot. The image of wyatt and josie shows that their relationship is stronger than wyatt and clementine, based on their close position. Compared to the other image were wyatt and clementine are more distant. In addition that the main theme of the movie was making order out of chaos.…

Since the beginning of Film making movies have been remade however, when looking back at history some have not lived up to the standards the original put in place. The 1998 version of Psycho directed by Gus Van Sant and the 2005 War of the Worlds are two examples of bad remakes. Some however are equally or more successful. King Kong is one of the most recognisable remakes of all time. Written and produced by Merian C. Cooper in 1933, King Kong was a story that was worth making two movies about.…

The movie titled "Liberty: 3 Stories About Life & Death" follows the lives and stories of three close friends whose appetite for life and struggles with illness and death are recorded in three separate parts. While the film exposes the sadness and tragedy that is associated with life-threatening disease and its consequences, it is also a beautiful story that explores deep connections in a close circle of lesbian friends who, despite the adversities, celebrate family, love, and life. The first part of the film, titled "Death to Life," tells a story of 66-year-old Joyce Fulton whose terminal two-year battle with brain cancer is documented in portrayed as moving backward in time. The part begins with Joyce laying on her death bed as she is surrounded by her lesbian ‘family' members who all gathered to celebrate her life and be there for her in her death.…
