The Monkey’s Paw and There Will Come Soft Rain, two very amazing short stories with very different meanings but at the same time hold a lot in common. They show us very different aspects of the world and what could happen and what has happened in our lives. The both covered important things alone but together they are stronger.
The two themes that I picked were to not take what we already have for granted and That technology isn't as or more important than our planet and our environment. In my eyes, these two themes are important because we shouldn't take our planet and all of its natural resources that we couldn't live without for granted by only thinking about the future and what technology has to offer when nature is the only way we would still be able to have a future.

The world needs to be cautious with our discoveries and new ideas because we will end up going too far and being completely dependent on technology. Although the debate is quite relevant currently weather technology controls us or not, nothing would compare to how soft rain portrayed a hypothetical future that is very

Jacobs uses foreshadowing as one of his main tools in the story to show the menacing results of wishing on the monkey’s paw, not wanting the whites to experience what others have suffered. In addition, he foreshadows a climatic ending by leaving the monkey’s paw with two wishes remaining in the White’s possession. The multiple reocurrences of foreshadowing creates the suspense that results in the readers keeping interesting and wanting to know more about the…

The theme that I chose was that in life, we should not hold on to someone that does not provide us with the happiness we required. In the story, we see Yolanda being married to Frank. Frank was a person who would not only disrespect Yolanda, but was definitely a very jealous guy. In addition to that, the audience can perceive Frank being over-protective during the story, Frank would stop Yolanda from learning new things and hold on to her if she was his property. Also the reader can perceive and assume Yolanda was not happy with their relationship which would cause differences between them.…

I picked this theme because in Seedfolks all of the characters put in effort to help make the garden a better place. All of the characters had something against someone but they get involved in the garden because the either notice how the garden community were kind and helpful or they were forced to go by someone who thinks the garden will help their problems. The Character Sae Young is the main character in my storyboard. Sae Young worked in a laundromat, but one day at work a man came in with a gun under his coat and beat up Sae Young and she passed out because he kicked her really hard.…
