The harsh and drastic environment did not stop the Inuit and the Haida from doing their everyday life tasks; to add on to, hunting animals in the ocean. Also, trying to catch enough food to feed the many hungry families back at their village. Challenges The Inuit and the Haida faced plenty of challenges that put their lives at risk everyday. Furthermore, they took a canoe in the middle of the ocean to catch whales. They also hunted walrus,seals etc… The risk was that the whale could overturn the canoe; not to mention, that in the Arctic, when the tide goes out they create caverns.
