The Roaring Twenties a big change in the american socially. In the 1920’s the young people of America changed, throwing parties every weekend to get away from their real problems. The Great Gatsby is a story of a man Jay Gatsby who, lives his life around on desire, to be reunited with his first love Daisy Buchanan that he lost five years before. His journey leads him from rags to riches and his obsession of his first love that gets him killed at the end of the story. This novel criticizes the culture and society back in the 1920´s. The purpose of this analysis is to examine the comparison between the story The Great Gatsby and life in the 1920.
