No! Wild Children are not like the kid from The Jungle Book. Wild children are children who have been separated from their families for a long period of time and raised in the wild by animals. These children adapt similar traits from the animals they were raised by and develop severe mental and physical damage. Feral children are children who have been held in captivity from the outside world by their parents or other captors in places such as a basement or a small room for a long period of time. In order to compare wild children and children raised in normal homes, one should explore descriptions and treatment of wild children, as well as examine documented case studies.
