The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus within the four gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John have both similarities and differences when discussing the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. I will be focusing on these commonalities and contrasts to explain how the execution and resurrection is interconnected with Christianity today. The first gospel Mark describes Jesus clothed in a purple cloak with a twisting thorn crown upon his head. The soldiers began saluting Jesus saying “Hail, King of the Jews.” They struck his head, mocked him by taking off his cloak, and then led him to be crucified.
