Two characters in particular, a Polish Kapo and Elie Wiesel, treated everyone with respect, leading many to believe that they were legitimately solicitous towards others. The first example comes from the kind Kapo who looks out for all the fellow new prisoners. “ But don’t lose courage. You’ve already escaped the gravest danger: selection. So now, muster your strength, and don’t lose heart. We shall all see the day of liberation. Have faith in life” (Wiesel 38). The Polish Kapo kept a high sense of morality and encouraged everyone to keep a good sense of mind. This is led to believe that the courage he holds shows he has a truly good heart. Furthermore, Elie Wiesel the young Jewish prisoner narrating the story, normally puts others before his own well being. In particular, he is very attentive towards his suffering father until the his death (Wiesel 100). Elie made sure he was always by his father’s side and was even willing to give up his food rations for his father (Wiesel 105). In the same meaning, Elie is truly putting others he deeply cares for before himself to clearly exhibit the good heart that he accumulates. In brief, from the book Night, the suffering Jews manage to persevere through the vigorous time and make others feel a sense of faith with their kind hearted
