Comparing The Black Cat And The Tell-Tale Heart

Edgar Allan Poe is a strange writer in many aspects like all of his stories are creepy, and on top of that nobody knows how he died, as if he wanted to be known as a unique and creepy writer. In two of his stories, The “Black Cat” and the "Tell Tale Heart" are one in the same by having the same ending with killing the ones they loved, hiding the bodies within their own home and in the end giving themselves away, the only thing different is how they did it and their reason for doing it. In the “Black Cat” and the "Tell Tale Heart" both lead up to killing those whom they loved. In the “Black Cat” he blamed the murder on alcohol, when he said “But my disease grew upon me -- for what disease is like Alcohol ! -- and at length even Pluto, who was now becoming old, and consequently somewhat peevish -- even Pluto began to experience the effects of my ill temper.” And in the "Tell Tale Heart" the girl blamed it on is eye by saying “I loved the old man. He had never wronged me. He had never given me insult. For his gold I had no desire.
