Shooters are considered as the most valuable asset in basketball because they have the skill and aptitude to break it open in the pitch at any time. As a beginner or a young player you need to have good shooting mechanics and be familiar with the fundamentals in order to be a good shooter.
Here are some important basics and tips of basketball shooting for a trainee.
1. Balance in shooting
Your body should be relaxed and balanced when shooting the ball. First, make sure both of your feet are about a shoulder width apart so as to give you a firm base. Secondly, ensure that the foot that is on the same side of your shooting hand is a half-step ahead of the other one. Last but not least, ensure that your head is centered to keep you stable throughout
