The American Dream is written in the declaration of independence, “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” In Of Mice and Men Lennie and george have a dream to one day live in the “fatta the lan,” as they call it. To them this is happiness and the “American Dream.” They dream to save up and purchase their own place. They have spent all their life working or traveling looking for a place to work. All of the other men like George and Lennie dream of having the same, but never seem to achieve it.
