In Spielberg’s film, “I Wanna Hold Your Hand”, it’s shown that many girls found themselves so deep into the hold that Beatlemania had on them, many hardly realized what they were doing until it was happening. Spielberg’s film depicts thousands of girls coming from all different places, surrounding not only the plane that the Beatles had arrived to New York in, but as well as following them to the hotel the band was staying at during their time in America and attempting to get in. Annette Joseph Walker, who had gone to the airport to see the Beatles’ arrival recalls;
We went through the terminal, and you could see a whole stampede just heading in this one direction. We got down there right as they were passing by. We were back about 20 people deep, and you could only see the tops of people’s heads, but we thought we had just gone to heaven! (61)
