The speeches of Mark Antony and Brutus are different and similar, but we will look at the differences of the two. The speech of Brutus was to honor Caesar and all of what he has done for the nation, "If then that friend demand why Brutus rose against Caesar, this is my answer: not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more" (act 3.2). This shows that Brutus means that he is saying the good things that Caesar did for Rome. But, after the speech from Brutus, Mark Antony comes and speaks about Caesar and he says these words several times throughout his speech, "Yet Brutus says he was ambitious, And sure he is an honorable man" (act 3.2). The differences between the two speeches is that the strategies that each of Brutus and Antony took. Brutus took a sympathetic way of losing a friend but also restoring the power back to Rome, which the crowd took the bait. Then Anthony took the audience in the nicest way possible from Brutus and uses them to get him the throne. That is exactly the way they killed Caesar is to have a ruler like Antony come in and change Rome.
