Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One are much more than a gaming system because users’ can watch Netflix, HBO, share stuff on Facebook and Twitter, listen to music and even browse the Internet. This makes it extremely challenging for regular gaming systems like the Wii to compete with Sony and Microsoft. While Apple’s revolutionary App Store shook up the whole gaming industry. The App Store offers more than a 100,000 games and Apple collected about 30% royalty on those applications. Even though Apple does not officially have a gaming console they are still a major force to be reckoned with in the gaming industry.
