Comparing Sam's Club, Target, And Walmart

I have shopped at Costco before. I believe that Costco has the same concept as Sams Club, Target, and Walmart and carries similar merchandise as these other big box retailers; however, Costco does win the cake for overall size and bulk of merchandise. Costco’s policies and strategies are much different than those of Sams Club, Target, Walmart, etc.
The reason why I do shop at Costco and value Costco is their ability to provide quality products at the most cost-effective price point. They minimalize their profit margin to bring a cost-effective solution to their customers. They also believe in treating their employees right while paying them well to keep human capital and human assets to help run their business. They also pass this philosophy to management and corporate as by understanding by not paying a hefty or glamorous salary, they can then pass their cost savings on to their customers and remain competitive while capturing a greater market share than other retailers. Their target customers are those who need to buy product in bulk and offer a competitive price point and pricing strategy that allows customers to buy large quantities of products in a cost-effective way. Their core competence is in respect to their corporate culture and work culture. They understand that their employees are the backbone to their company and understand that by keeping their employees happy, their productivity and happiness will be reflected throughout the company. They offer better wages and believe in collectivism, teamwork, empowerment, and support. Employees and customers come first as this can be seen through their customer service. Happy employees will lead to happy customers which in turn will bring profits and customer loyalty to make the company
