In the story I read Robin Hood is considered as an outlaw for stealing but shows compassion to other. On the other hand Beowulf is a Viking and is semi divine in nature. He uses his strength every time he is in the battle. For Robin Hood he likely used his bow and arrow. Even the said story and the epic have different structure and plot, both of the stories has similarities as well.
