Comparing Quincy And Seattle

My blue marker indicates where Quincy is in relation to Seattle. Quincy sits on cropland while Seattle sits in an urban, built-up area. Seattle, as you can see on the map has water on one side and mountains on the other. Separating these two cities is a large area of Evergreen broadleaf forest mixed with mixed forest. This landscape will impact weather between these two cities.
Seattle sits at an altitude of 187 feet and averages 37.13 inches of rain with approximately 147 days a year. Quincy sits at an altitude of 1283 feet and averages 7.79 inches of rain per year. This increase in elevation and When there is rain on the windward side of the mountain range, for example, Seattle, the rain impact decreases on the leeward side. This is called rain shadow effect, when participation crosses an area with enough elevation to impact the movement, as the participation moves dry air moves along the leeward side, in this case, Quincy.

Both cities have seasonal temperature changes Quincy is a little bit warmer in the summer months and a little cooler in the winter months compared to Seattle.
