Comparing Pyramus And Thisbe In Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet

The story of Pyramus and Thisbe reminds me a lot like the story of Romeo and Juliet. One of the biggest similarities is the young unstoppable love that both couples shared. Romeo and Juliet agreed to run away to be together, which in many ways is similar to what Pyramus and Thisbe planned to do. Pyramus and Thisbe agreed to meet in the woods so that they could be together. Another similarity in both stories is the disapproval of the parents. In Romeo and Juliet the families did not get along, this prevented Romeo and Juliet from being able to marry. Pyramus and Thisbe’s parents also forbid the relationship and because of this, they went behind their parent’s back, in secret. The outcome was another similarity, in Romeo and Juliet Romeo finds Juliet “dead” and then kills himself because he doe not want to live without her. Pyramus and Thisbe have an outcome much like Romeo and Juliet’s. When Pyramus goes out into the woods he finds Thisbe’s veil on the ground filled with the …show more content…
One of the differences were the duration of Pyramus and Thisbe’s relationship. Pyramus and Thisbe had known eacher since they were little and would deepen their relationship by signals and glances. Romeo and Juliet, on the other hand, did not know eachother as long and their decision to run away together could have been seen as sudden. Another difference could have been the family feuds. In Romeo and Juliet it is very apparent that their parents despised eachother and it was clear that the marriage would never happen. Although Pyramus and Thisbe’s parents also forbid the relationship they did not seem as forceful in forbidding the marriage. This makes me curious as to whether or not the outcome could have been changed for Pyramus and Thisbe. Even though there weren’t as many differences, the differnces are very important when understanding the two

The Tomba DI Giulietta is not real because there are several reasons for this, but I'm going to list three. First, the reason is this story is fictional. The second reason is there were never dead people actually in the tomb. The third reason is that this story is just like Pyramus and Thisbe. I think that this tomb is a false tomb and the story is made up.…

If all of the characters in Romeo and Juliet were real, there are a few of them that I would like to be friends with. However, most of the characters I would detest with a passion, as they are complete imbeciles. One of the characters that I would like to become friends with is the friar. The friar is very wise and knows a lot. He seems to always have good advice, and he actually has a little bit of common sense.…

Love stories can end tragically or happily, be mocked or be celebrated, and be laughed at or loved by many. The story of Pyramus and Thisby in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, by William Shakespeare, is a tragic love story and told as if Shakespeare knew it himself. The love story is presented in a way that makes the audience laugh at them, which shows how love can be mocked but also celebrated. In A Midsummer Night 's Dream, by William Shakespeare, the couples, Hippolyta and Theseus, Hermia and Lysander, and Helena and Demetrius, are both mocked and celebrated for their love. Hippolyta and Theseus are the more mature couple, who is on the brink of marriage, in this story.…
