Both the book and movie, Of Mice and Men, portray the story of a companionship between polar opposites in a different, but great way. John Steinbeck originally created this story in the form o f a novel in 1937. Decades later, another version of this story was released onto the big screen. Although the stories have their slight differences, both express the same powerful message across to whoever is reading or watching. In the movie, Candy never entered the room while Crooks and Lennie were having a conversation about their plans for the future. In the book, this did happen and Candy wanted to join in on the plan, but in the movie he was never introduced to their ideas; having no thoughts of following in what the two of them were planning
