Today I read Book 12 of Homer’s Odyssey and “Her Dilemma” by Tom Hardy. Both the poem and the story contain a character that faces a huge decision or dilemma. In “Her Dilemma” by Tom Hardy, The woman in the poem faces a decision to either tell a departing man she doesn't love that she loves him and risk going to hell for lying in a church, or tell the man that she doesn't love him and feel guilt for not responding to a dying man’s last wish. As for Odysseus, he has to choose between two monsters that he face. One of which is Scylla, who has twelve tentacles and six heads, each head has a big black monstrous mouth with sharp teeth. If Odysseus were to take his crew this way, he would lose six of his men, one for each month the monster has.
