Comparing Myself-Personal Narrative

“Is she prettier?”
“She’s always been smarter.”
“I know everyone likes her so much more.”
Although, there is always competition between my look alike and I; I would not trade it for anything. Why? Because that look alike is my twin sister and my absolute best friend.

My sister’s name is Kaitlyn. We are blonde hair, blue eyed, same height and weight twin girls. We are also mirror twins; that means that I am right handed and she is left handed, I like blue and she likes pink, we have freckles on the opposite sides of our face, complete different taste in men, and have total opposite career goals, but we are identical in

The communication barrier got so out of hand that I had to translate everything she said to our classmates and to our teacher. They eventually switched her out of my class so she could actually participate. Now that I look at it, that was actually a meaningful day. This experience taught us that we could be our own person and still have each other.

That’s what I need to learn to accomplish again at twenty years old, to be able to be my own person but still have Kaitlyn, as well as the opportunity to learn about the major of Mass Communications since I have wanted this as a career since I was twelve. Even if it means leaving the only person I love more than anything else. Although, Kaitlyn would be in Orlando and I hope to be in Tampa as a student at the University of South Florida and as heart wrenching as it would be to be apart from my other half, I know that she will always be there to support me as I would for

One of the greatest factors that contribute to twins’ relationships is the appearance of both twins that appear as mirrored faces or almost close to identical faces that make a distinct separation between normal siblings and twins. In the book, Entwined Lives, author Nancy Segal demonstrates that twins that are identical or symmetrical-appearing have a close relationship because of the clear similarities in the physique and face of twins that lead misunderstandings in which in “Twins and families have long known that some twins find it difficult to identify themselves in snapshots, even if they have not known why” (Segal 25). Because many pairs of twins are born identical or with similar appearances, twins gain a close relationship to the point…

It became frustrating at times because we were always placed in the same school and programs up until high school. At times people wouldn’t even get the chance to remember our names and instead call us “Twins”. My sister, Tiara and I always hated it. It’s frustrating knowing that no matter what I do; I would never be seen as myself rather than “the twins”. In school we would try to do different hairstyles, wear different things even if we both liked it, just so people wouldn’t think we were the same.…
