Comparing My Mom's List Of Contrast In Romeo And Juliet

Decent Essays
It's said that kids look like there parents and sometimes think and like the same things. Back in Juliet and Romeo’s day the parents most of the time decided who you got to marry. And of course your parents would want the girl/boy to have good traits. I wrote a list of traits of what I thought my parents would want in a girl I would marry. I will be comparing my moms and I’s list of traits.

First of all, my list was pretty close to my Mom's list but not quite the same. My list of what I thought my Mom would want was... patient, athletic, smart, kind, and healthy.
My mom is very closely related to this list and that is why i chose it, i thought my mom would want someone like her. I chose this list also because my mom talks about how important

My mom is a very healthy person and she is crazy about nutrition and health so I assumed that most of her list would be about health but it was a little more than just health traits. My mom’s list consisted of… Good work ethic, health/wellness minded, kind, honest, and open minded. I was surprised that my mom didn't put patience on her list, But I did expect some of these like health and wellness.

Although our list were quite similar, there were some minor differences. My mom put traits of a “perfect wife” and not so much to my own interests. Which surprised me greatly i thought she was going to put, loves sports and things like that. My list of what my prediction for my mom was more based towards my interests and what I like such as athletic and patient. The list were very similar with a few minor changes and if I was going to pick traits I’d probably take a few from both sides. Concluding, I believe that a parent choosing a boy or girl to marry for their children is not in better interest for anyone it would seem. Although my mom and I’s list were very similar I do not agree with all of her choices and do not think I would be happily married with just my moms traits honestly. A combination of my list and my mom's list i think would be very good and hope to find someone like that one

Abraham Lincoln once said, “In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count, it’s the life in your years.” My mother-in-law, Kathy Litke, lived this quote every day. She was an extraordinary woman who shared her many positive traits with those around her through both her words and actions. She aspired to please others and inspired those of us who knew her to follow her example. When asked to describe her, I created a list of the “top seven” words that portray who Kathy Cockayne Karish Litke was.…

Throughout my life, my mother played both roles of a parent: mother and father. Although, this assignment says caregivers, I will base my response primarily towards how my mother raised me and the personality traits. My mother is a very strong, independent, loving, caring, and wonderful spirited lady. She strives to help anyone who is in need, which to me is so amazing. According to Bradbury & Karney (2014), "Most of us recognize implicitly that who we are as human-beings, and presumably as relationship partners, derives from how we were raised and nurtured" (p.222).…

One character trait that I find fits me well is realistic. I set my goals high and work hard to reach them, but I also make sure that my goal can be reached. I believe it is worse to fail a goal you set that was too demanding of you than to succeed and keep aspiring higher with time. To be realistic is a significant trait that everyone should own. It allows one to live up to their greatest potential and to constantly improve themselves.…

The first character trait that I can relate to is the ability to assume responsibility for assignment and attendance. I always make sure to get my homework done and turned in on time. Turning in homework is very important to me and I always use some of my free time to work on it to make sure it is done and handed in when it is supposed to be. I also help my friends and others who need help with their homework so they can get it turned in on time as well. I try to help them so that they understand it, and I’m not just giving them answers.…

Are people’s personalities decided at birth by their genetics, or influenced and shaped by the life experiences? Was Frankenstein’s monster inherently evil, or was he driven by the misfortunes he faced? The debate of nature versus nurture is one of the oldest arguments in the history of psychology, and it raises these questions of why we do what we do and how we become the people we are. Nature is the argument that a person’s personality is solely determined by genetics and inherited traits. It’s the belief that who we are is innate and unchangeable.…

Although I grew up with an American influence in my household, my family and Vietnamese culture has encouraged me to attain greater aspirations for myself and to become a better influence for a younger generation. Growing up with a very predominant Vietnamese influence within my household impacted every aspect of my daily life, from how I was raised as a child to how I see the world currently. Many things played a role in shaping me, for example my family and culture. I was raised by a single mom giving me a different outlook. My mom taught me that no matter what happens in the course of life, I have to be able to count on myself; she raised me to be independent and to stand on my own two feet.…
