One example in the story ‘The most Dangerous Games, Rainsford states, “Who cares how a jaguar feels… Bah! They’ve no understanding” (6). At first, Rainsford did not understand or care how an animal feels when they are being hunted, all Rainsford wants is to hunt for fun. This shows that Rainsford has an evil side in him and Whitney is trying to help Rainsford by explaining that animals have feelings too but he didn't care what Whitney said. Later in the story, Rainsford meets a rich person name Zaroff and his general soldier Ivan. He knew that they were the bad guys after getting to know Zaroff. Rainsford found out that Zaroff is a murder and murder humans instead of animals. Since Rainsford doesn't think animals have feelings, Zaroff sent him to the most dangerous game. Another example in the story is “The general sucked in his breath and smiled… “you have won the game” (22). In other words, Rainsford defeated Zaroff and finally understand how it feels like when you are being hunted. This quote is important because it shows that Rainsford has changed and has become and better person than he was before. Now Rainsford knows the true meaning of fear and how terrifying it is whenever Zaroff and Ivan is around. At the end, Zaroff died and Rainsford
