Water. Fire. Both so alike, yet so different. Two different society's both lie to protect the people who live in it. Truman Burbank is an ordinary guy that has a dream of moving to Fiji, but will he ever be able to go? Guy Montag is a firefighter, but do firefighters actually fulfill their intended purpose? Even though Montag and Truman are from different society's they have many things in common, they were both lied to by their friends and family, they both had a person who made them question the society they live in, and they both had to get over their fears to find out the truth about the lies they have grown up believing.
Truman and Montag were both lied to by almost everyone they know. Truman was a very happy person that didn't have a care in the world. …show more content…
Truman feels that people are spying on him so has pretends he’s sleeping and sneaks out to the beach and gets on a boat and starts to sail. Ever since Truman was a boy he has been afraid of water because his dad drowned in it. After a huge storm and almost dying Truman is stopped by a stage wall that leads to the real world. As Truman goes to walk out Christof the creator of The Truman Show announces the truth to Truman, and lets him know he’s on live TV. Truman was sad and told him “In case I don’t see you good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight”. Truman wasn’t the only one who had to get over his fear to find out the truth about his society. Guy Montag is a firefight that has to burn books and the homes of the people that own the books. After having to burn down people’s homes and witnessing people burning with their books Montag was curious about why books were so special to people, but he was scared to take them because he didn’t wasn’t his home be burnt. Montag got over his fear and tock a few book he read them and figured out the government was trying to restrict people from
