Comparing Matthews And Luke 6: 20-49

Decent Essays
In Matthews 5-7 and Luke 6:20-49 there are many lessons and wise words of Jesus spoken. I believe Jesus is asking his followers to love each other and nothing more than to show compassion and care for each individual that you cross paths with. It portrays that through whatever you do in life to always look to the Lord for answers. No matter the rough or great times you have throughout life there is always an answer and there will always be an upside to any situation. Jesus wants every human that walks the earth to make a positive difference in the lives of others. He doesn't want us to downgrade or betray each other, he wants all to do right and give to those in the time of need. It states in the bible that you should be cautious when showing

We must nurture new disciples, as seen in Matthew 28:19-20. It is important to teach these individuals of why and how to relate the Bible as the revelation of God in matters of life, salvation, kingdom work and theology. This is vital to the new believers, because they must learn how they view God and his response to their lives; as well as to their response to the world. Through discipleship believers learn how to communicate God’s love to those who are lost and without love. They also learn how to convey God’s incarnational love to…

A verse from Matthew that I truly love is this, “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” This is in answer to the ‘Righteous’ that ask when did they see Jesus struggling in need of help. We should see everyone, since they are made in the image and likeness of God, as the face of Jesus, and help them as such. This all means that when you hold the door for someone who has their hands full, you just held the door for Jesus. When you help your friend think some things through that they had weighing on them for a while, you were Jesus’ therapist.…

The Lord wants his disciples to do everything in their power to make peace with others. Concerning enemies, The Lord brings in another famous line, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy' (Matthew 5:43) but goes on to say that his disciples should 'love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you' (Matthew 5:44), advice that was rare in this time. In conclusion of this particular topic of his sermon, The Lord advises his disciples to 'Be…

Jesus is trying to explain that it is easy to love, help, and forgive people that is closely related to a person. However, doing the same for someone outside this circle, and that do not provide any reason to be loved, is the real challenge (Matthew 5:47). This teaching, can be found not only in Christianity and all of its denominations, but in other religions and worldviews too. In other words, it is not necessary to be a Christian in order to be good to everyone, and the idea of not hating others is one of the core values of most actual societies. This a great example of how Jesus set a standard for all the people who lived among His days, the ones that preceded them, and the ones that live today.…
