Since the beginning of time, death has been around, many people are frightened by death others are horrendously awed by it. Two stories present a since of horror and mysteriousness, those stories are Masque Of The Red Death and The twilight episode Nothing In the Dark. Despite the incredible 120 year release differences between the two stories they have some strong similarities, along with a few differences also.

The characters in each stories are totally different from each other, yet their motives lead to the similar actions. Wanda in The twilight zone film Nothing In The Dark , has not been outside in years, her reason is the fear of death. She feels that death lurks around outside and is coming after her, she even stacks chairs inside her house around her bed for a more fortified feeling while she's asleep. Her strong fear of death has caused her to be cut off from the outside world and others, which I'm sure no one in our time would enjoy being cut off from humanity. …show more content…
Him and thousandths of others entered his castle, They welded the doors shut making it impossible for anyone to enter or leave.The actions of prince Prospero is also a attempt to cut himself and others off from the world, which is similar to Wanda Dunn in the twilight zone film.Another ironic similarity in these stories is that they both died at the end, no matter how much they feared death or tried to evade it death caught up to them in the long run.
