The Canterbury Tales is a group of people travelling from one city to another and as they are travelling, in order to pass the time, they took the time to tell stories. These stories use the same themes that the Troubadour and Decameron use. In Macbeth even though emotions like love and lust are not used like they are in the Decameron or Troubadour poetry, the passion for power and the emotions that goes with greed are very strong.
In the decameron there was also a lot of love and strong passions in the stories that the seven women and three men told to each other.
