They say that love is the most powerful than the emotion, that it can take over at any given moment. Love is capable of controlling everything about a person’s life, including their decisions, mood, and general outlook on their life. Although, lust can have the same effect. In truth, love and lust are essentially very similar things, with the exception of the long term effects of each. The differences between love and lust are oftentimes difficult to discern, however they are there. Despite the fact that there are many instances in which the feelings of Romeo and Juliet seem to be lust, for example in the balcony scene where romeo was quick to jump out and talk to juliet when she offered him 'all of her', romeo and juliet are attracted to each other due to true love because Juliet gives Romeo the benefit of the doubt when he gets banished for killing tybalt, Juliet refuses to marry Paris, though she knows she will be disowned, and both characters commit suicide when they learn about the other's apparent death. …show more content…
When Juliet learns of this news, she ponders on whether to grieve and weep for Tybalt or for Romeo. For Tybalt was a close cousin, akin to a childhood friend, and Romeo was her husband, married a day before. After some philosophizing, Juliet decides that while Romeo murdered Tybalt, Tybalt would have killed Romeo, so it is resolved.     Jane and Bingley’s love however serves as a reminder that true love may not be hindered by pride or prejudice. However both Jane and Bingley have such similar qualities that they can almost be described together, this points to the fact that although they love each other so dearly, as all the way through the novel they have been portrayed as a potential couple, such love can be a bit dry and uneventful.
