It is hard to fight for what is right, when nobody else believes in their philosophies. When somebody believes in something and people laugh or disregard them, he or she often questions him or herself. Eventually letting their morals down, they become a part of that group. In Lord of the Flies, written by William Golding, a group of boys crash on an island, with no adults. The boys create a government without adult supervision, similar to what happens in The Maze Runner by James Dashner. Many characters in the books conform during the novels, reverting to savagery. A world without supervision will result in lives falling apart.
