Comparing Kaczynski And Walker's Childhood

Decent Essays
I am Kennadee Ohanesian. I have been working with children for about three years and I absolutely love it. I have been fortunate enough to get to work with a variety of ages, but by far my favorite age group is toddlers. I love to get to see their personalities develop and begin to shine through. This class is my first step towards my Early Childhood Education degree I hope to receive. When I finish at TCC I hope to transfer to OSU to complete my bachelors with a degree in special education. I would love to learn how young children are affected by their environment and how that can shape their personality.
I do think that Kaczynski and Walkers childhood impacted their adulthood. I believe that your childhood years are your most formative years

I have always loved being around kids. When I worked at a childcare center, I enjoyed being with the two-year-olds. Later on, when I was put into an infant classroom, I loved every bit of it. It has been a little over two years that I have not worked with infants. When I saw that we needed to observe a child, I automatically said I wanted to observe a newborn baby.…

Today I was at Head Start, I chose to be in the 3-5-year-old room. It was quite different than the previous day that I spent in the infant room at Moreland. At times it was very chaotic in the toddler room. There were lots of different personalities in the toddlers. Most of the time the teachers had at least one toddler right beside them, if not more at times.…

The leading reason I want to work with young children is because I want to make children’s lives optimistic and make the world an improved place. When my daughter was starting school, all the way to fourth grade, I volunteered and found myself not only enjoying the time, but I felt like I made a difference. I would like to work with children from underprivileged circumstances, so Head Start would be absolutely ideal. Leandra, my daughter, has recently been a contributing factor to my choice and her parting leaves me with a void. I come from a family of educators who have many strong encouragements in the education field that have influenced my recent decision to enter the Early Childhood Education program as well.…

She spent two years teacher young fives, then second grade for one year, then taught a split classroom for one year, and for the last twenty two years she has been teaching first grade at Gearing Elementary School in East China School District. While speaking with Mrs. Brosky I asked her how she prepares each year of her incoming students and their families. She explained to me that the first thing she does after getting her class list is visit each house. I have learned a lot about myself through this course like about how you have to really watch what you say because it can either be stereotyping, bias, or racist. I watch how I put things because I learned that little eyes are watching you. I have seen that I have strengths like being empathetic, caring and kind to all the families and the children. I have patients with the children and listen carefully to what they have to say. I watch and correct with love if a child is showing signs they like someone or the are being racists.…

I immigrated to Canada from Israel, though my parents came from the Soviet Union. Growing up in Toronto, an organization named the Jewish (Russian) Community Centre (JRCC/JCC) reached out to my family. They helped us with funds in times of need. Furthermore, I spent majority of my childhood either at their affiliated kindergarten or summer camp. Seeing how they assisted families in need, it inspired me to devote my own time into helping them continue managing their organization.…

Please let me take this opportune moment to inform you the delightfulness I felt when I learned that I have another opportunity to have you as my Mentor Teacher for Supervised Field Experience Child Development and Education class 148. As you might remember, I did my Observation and Assessment Child Development and Education class 147 with you in the spring of 2015. From the observations and assessments that I performed, you created a school environment where families see a safe and learning atmosphere that provides their children with new learning experiences that will help…

I learned a lot from this OIR that will affect my future teaching career expectantly in a good approach. I learned that some children develop slower than others and some develop quicker. Seeing that some children need a little extra help (guidance in interacting with others and understanding/following directions) and some children don’t shows that when I’m a teacher, I’m going to have to accommodate to these children’s needs as much as possible. All children achieve milestones at different times in their lives. I also learned that some children need more time than others to develop cognitively.…

    (a) A discussion of how your relationship with children has grown and changed as a result of taking this course. This course has improved my relationship with children because I am now able to step outside of my adult ego and have greater patience with children. This class has added value to how children learn. I have also found a new creative approach to the dialogue surrounding experiences children have had. I have also learned that teacher and families can instill positive attributes into a child making them aware of injustices against them.…

Working with different children that range from different ages is something that I have been able to do in the past well taking other child development classes but this semester well I was taking ECH 320 I was able to get the knowledge of what it might be working with an infant all the way to a child that is eight years old. Over the course of the last eight weeks I have been able to observe what it might be to work with a toddler well reading a book to them or even a chance to conduct a four part experiment where I was able to test a child who was between the ages of four and five as well as conducting the experiment on a child that is six to eight years old. I was able to see what different types of thinking processes a child might have when they are five verses when they are eight. After studying a chapter on what an infant cognitive process is I was able to take that knowledge and put it fourth when I went to do my field work.…

While observing at Broadway Elementary I was able to spend multiple days in Mrs. Grabowski’s class. She has been teaching Kindergarten for twelve years and seems to be loving every minute, even if her class this year has put a quite a bit of stress on to her. Teaching may not be the simplest of tasks, but she would definitely recommend it as a profession. Day in and day out she has a smile on her face and pursues touching each child’s heart as she helps them during their developmental stage. After interviewing Mrs.Grabowski she helped me realize that teaching, especially at the elementary level, requires an acquired taste and a great deal of patience.…
