Comparing In-Season And Out-Of-Season GPA

After the averages were calculated for each student-athletes in-season and out-of-season GPA, the difference in the in-season and out-of-season GPA was calculated. To calculate the difference, the average out-of-season GPA was subtracted from the average in-season GPA. To find the overall average difference between in-season and out-of-season GPA, the average difference was calculated. Based on my data, the average difference between in-season and out-of-season GPA was 0.172. In other words, on average student-athletes earned a slightly higher GPA when they did not participate in school sponsored athletics.
The GPA of student-athletes from each academic quarter (e.g. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th), in which the student-athletes did not participate in
