Comparing High Schools In Saudi Arabia

What are the differences between the two high schools systems over the countries? Each country has its own system of teaching their citizens, and each one endeavors to be the best. High schools are base education that builds the students’ improvement. And adolescents feel like high school is the second home where they spend most of their time. In addition, the way that the country follows to teach their students is shaping their culture especially in the high schools. When comparing high school in the US and high school in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the countries should base good education on the educational attainment, how a student feels, the government, and the system of high schools.

In the United States students feel more excited in school than home, because students spend a lot of time in school activities, rather than at home. In the United States, schools start about 8:30A.M and ends at 4:30 P.M. However, in Saudi Arabia it starts at 7:00 A.M and end at 1:15 P.M. So, in Saudi Arabia students spend less time on school, and consequently, they engage in fewer activities. Likewise, that the student feels the school is just a place for studying, not for practicing sports, engaging in art an music class, etc. Also, some students in the US have their lunch in school for free. In Saudi Arabia the materials are the same for each city. For clarification, it means if a student takes physics class in north of Saudi Arabia, it will be the same material for who takes the class in the south. But in the other side in United State of America, each state has different materials. Furthermore, in the USA they have standerlized testes for classes. Standerlized testing is that testing is the first step to improving schools, teaching practice, and educational methods through data collection. In contrast, in Saudi Arabia 's they do not have any test during high school, but in some private school required test before enroll into it. Otherwise, in Suadi Arabia there are some schools are foucing on the religion education. For example: study the holy book of Islam every day. However, in the US there are some private religion high schools where the students discussed religions subjects more than science
