Two generations commit an act that they know could kill each other or if they happen to survive they will both get in major trouble. A child asks her grandmother to drive her to a party even though she is grounded and her grandmother could possibly crash due to her handicaps which limit her from doing somewhat simple tasks including driving. Sadly they don’t realize at the time how this could be such a bad idea. They do in fact know this could end badly but they seem to brush it off while beginning their actions. She suddenly halts in the middle of the street almost getting hit by a car in the process and then proceeds to travel back to the boy to help him. It was very odd to many people how she describes the feeling of turning back like an invisible thread. Many years later she is still friends with this man and he attends her 50th birthday. Maurice gives a toast and says indirectly to Laura that he has learned and gained many valuable things from her. This gets Laura very emotional and she then goes on and on in her head thinking about how many things she gained from him. How he taught her the true value of money, the hope to learn, courage and so much more. As a result of these multi-generational lessons are society as a whole good advance much faster than expected if we keep this
