Beowulf is God like in the poem. He is respected by all and has all the attributes to being a king. Beowulf “the strongest of the Geats – greater and stronger than anyone in this world” (110-111) shows that the poems fiction storyline with his superhuman like qualities. Yet, in the movie Beowulf and Grendel, Beowulf is just a man, they adjusted the movie to fit modern expectations. Which is notable because in today’s culture people want a character who can be just like that, however, still shows great honor and heroism.
