Comparing Fate In Christianity And Islamic Religion

Although fate and destiny have a similar connotation, fate represents the preordained course of your life that will occur in spite of your actions, and destiny represents predetermined events within your life that you take an active course in shaping. Christianity and Islamic religion represent different opinions on fate and personal destiny based on belief in different gods, and the location from which each religion originated. The religion of Christianity began with God coming to earth through a human form know as Jesus Christ. Everyone “is born with a tendency to sin, and this sin, whether it’s large or small, separates people” from God (Wagner). Through the traditional Christian story of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman created by God, a personal destiny was chosen through the decisions that Adam and Eve made for themselves. Adam and Eve were placed in the Garden of Eden with freedom to eat freely, with exception of no eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
