Comparing Donte Clark's Romeo And Juliet

The Romeo is bleeding is a documentary about how Donte Clark, who grows up from Richmond, California a city where there is a lot of violence. At first his dream was to become the biggest drug dealer when he was in high school but everything change because of his teacher he become a poet who uses his artistic perspective to inspire people around him. He mostly write about the violence that he experiences in his hometown. He is with the community called RAW talent where they wrote a poem and perform it. They prepare an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet based on the fight between north and central Richmond. The documentary explores the conflicts of the people and the government in Richmond. Donte’s play is different than the original Shakespeare play as they change the Romeo and Juliet on a language that could make people understand it. They change it so people would be interested because if they did the original play it would be hard to understand since Shakespeare use different structure of sentences. North and Central Richmond feud started with a car accident, the person involve starts a fight and it just keep going and going. And now the North and Central Richmond just keep fighting to make a point they do not even know what is the reason they just continue fighting because of pride and ego. Same as the Romeo and Juliet, the two families: Capulets and Montagues before the clash between them there is a peace. It started when they had a friendly game which who have the most land win, this went on and on until it started an argument. Both Donte’s play and Shakespeare’s play have the same conflict. Both sides always been have a tension that they do not know what is the cause. They just keep fighting because it always been
