Tectonics Final Assessment
The plates around Peru are the Nazca plate, South American plate, Altipian plate, and the Cocos plate.
The boundary were the Cocos and Nazca plate meet is a divergent boundary. There is a convergent boundary were the Nazca and South American Plate meet. Convergent boundary means they are moving towards one another, and they collide. A divergent boundary means they are moving away from each other.
The earthquake that we found is located 145 km from Pucallpa. Which occurred on June 8 at 7:01, and the magmatude was 5.2. The earthquake was around the convergent boundary between the Nazca and South American Plate.
The volcano we found is called the Wolf Volcano. In late May 2015, it erupted.
