Comparing Clifford Goes To The Farm To Pick Apples And Pumpkins '

Decent Essays
I tested Hinga’s abilities while with him. When we read Clifford Goes to the Farm to Pick Apples and Pumpkins I asked him different questions. Some he responded to by pointing but others he responded with words and sounds, while using movements. For example I said what is this animal, he said Cow and then made the sound a cow makes. When he did it he moved his hands to his mouth and made a speaker like motion towards his mouth, as though he was speaking into a loud speaker. He did this for several animals and pointed to where the dogs were. This provides me with support that he uses words and sign/gestures when he responds and it influences his ability to speak and communicate what he is saying. A perfect example of sign expressing how he feels

In this quote she is saying that if we just agreed that we are different, and we won’t alway get along, then the world would be a more peaceful place. Even in today’s society people are pulled apart from others because of their differences. Even so the society today is better than it was during times like America in the 1930’s, on the Indian reservations, and in Europe between Jews and Christians.…
