Online courses make you responsible by making yourself keep track of what assignments are due (it’s all on you). Now in classroom courses, differ a lot compared to online courses. While taking a in classroom courses, you will have to make a stop during your busy day to see a professor; and they will lecture you on due dates and even require studying in classroom. …show more content…
Again, it’s totally your personal preference on the type of learning environment you prefer. Online course no matter how great the professor, can still sometimes be a hassle if you’re not good in that particular course, and scheduling an appointment can take days (due to the numerous online students he/she already has). As for traditional classroom learning, you are all “hands-on” and can easily ask questions with a direct answer (better understanding). Seeing a professor face to face has great advantages because you’re literally 2 feet from them and you have easy access to ask question after question, or even stay a little longer to get “it” down. Throughout this section I will compare the classrooms of 3rd and 4th grade and the classroom of 1st grade in order to see the differences between the teacher that follows the educational approach of the school and the teacher that follows a traditional approach. 1.1 3rd and 4th grade classrooms. As we have seen, the characteristics of the school bet on the new methodologies, on the diversity of the groups and on the active role of the students among others. You are missing out on the experience. If I had to make a decision between colleges on campus vs online courses, without a doubt my answer would be college classes on campus in a structured class with an enthused professor. Real learning is hard”. It is really quite simple, online courses do not offer the interaction one needs to learn.…

Before taking this course, I had not been as conscious as I am now of the importance of creating an environment and curriculum that represents the diverse cultures of the students in the classroom, and the impact that that has on the academic success and overall well-being of each child. Bill Daggett’s statement “Culture trumps strategy” (2015, p. 241) was an idea from this week’s reading that resonated with me and, again, echoed the importance of cultural mindfulness. In reflecting on Daggett’s words, I have come to the realization that the best strategic idea means nothing in isolation – that is, if a strategy conflicts with the beliefs, behaviors, and decisions of the school’s students, parents, or teachers, it will fail. Superintendent,…
