Comparing Cinderella 'And Ella Enchanted'

Ella Enchanted VS. Cinderella Ella Enchanted is a Cinderella story with a twist. I never really thought that Ella Enchanted and Cinderella had so much in common. I have watched both of them many times and never realized all the similarities and differences even though Ella is a version of Cinderella. One slight difference in between the two is that Ella is cursed with the gift of obedience. She is not allowed to disobey no matter what the order that is given to her. She finally just accepts her fate because there is nothing she can do to change it. On the other hand Cinderella just accepts her fate from the beginning because she is in a situation where her stepmother and stepsisters are the ones bossing her around. Neither one of the girls like to obey all the orders that are given to them. But the main difference between the two girls’ is that Cinderella disobeys as soon as she is given the chance and Ella just finds ways to not do exactly what is expected of her. In Cinderella, the prince's role is not very significant because he is mentioned a little over halfway through the story and does not affect her very much. The prince is Cinderella did not have a very hard job. All he had to do was throw a formal ball and dance with lots of pretty ball. He eventually had to track down the girl that had lost the shoe at the ball and then marry her. He did not even have a real name he was known as Prince Charming. In Ella Enchanted the prince had a lot bigger role. He is introduced early in the story and he is mentioned and plays a role in most of the story. He has to lead a small troop of knights into the forest and eventually saves Ella from big mean Ogres. He is more active and involved than the prince in Cinderella. Ella is a more romantic story, and it allows the audience to follow along as the prince and Ella get to know each other and eventually fall in
