There are many different versions of the Cinderella story. In every one of the stories, for example Cinderella (French) and Cendrillon(Caribbean) there is a reoccuring theme, as well as a motif. For example, there is always an evil villain, or in this case the stepmothers and stepsisters. In the two stories, Cinderella and Cendrillon, both of the girls are treated poorly by their stepmothers and sisters. The stepmothers represent the evil villians/antagonist and the stepsister/sisters as the villains minions.
