Chopin invented the concept of the instrumental ballade. His major piano works include mazurkas, waltzes, nocturnes, polonaises, etude, impromptus, scherzos, preludes and sonatas. Chopin’s wrote for solo piano only, which are 61 mazurkas, 16 polonaises, 26 preludes, 27 études, 21 nocturnes, 20 waltzes, 3 sonatas, 4 ballades, 17 Polish songs. He was influenced by
