Roger and Laurie
In “Charles” and “Miss Awful” Laurie and Roger are two school boys who have great lives but do not know it. Roger has the nice side but he thinks his life is over because of his awful teacher. Laurie thinks everyone’s life is great and he must ruin it. Roger and Laurie may have their similarities of being two school boys with a higher authority interested in their daily life but the differences in their character of being kind and unkind is the true part of what shows through.
Roger has a kind character with a new substitute who he thinks is the worst ever. He goes to his third-grade class at St. Geoffrey’s every day and one day he finds out he is going to have a substitute teacher while his teacher is out-of-town. Miss Orville
