Comparing Brutus And Mark Antony

After the death of Julius Caesar, both Brutus and Mark Antony spoke to the public. Mark Antony who wasn't part of Julius Caesar death want to describe of the significance of Caesar. However, Brutus is a conspirator who kill Caesar, fears the speech Mark Antony might give, tells the public that he kill Caesar for them(people). Both speeches leave the audience to decide whether to choose Antony side or Brutus. Both speeches explain Caesar death in a similar way and different and how they truly felt for him.The decision the people make is on their behalf. Leaving suspense as the story continues.

To begin, Brutus speech tells the public that he went against Caesar the better of Rome. According to the speech it states, "If then that friend demand why Brutus rose against Caesar this is my answer: not that I loved Caesar less, but I loved Rome more." This is very significant because it evaluates that Brutus wasn't a killer. Killing Caesar was for the better for Rome. This is showing that Caesar power could have corrupt Rome as it is according to Brutus speech. However, Antony speech he tells the commons that

Saying he was tyrant and everything he did wasn't for Rome but was for himself. Then Antony speaks about the facts of Caesar. Telling the commons that he wasn't a tyrant if he didn't want to be king and he went to war and successful won to protect the people he love. This made the people feel that Caesar wasn't all bad of a person and he did his best to serve Rome. The public sided with Anthony because his facts of Caesar change their perspective of him. That he wasn't a tyrant and love Rome more than he love himself.Antony and his people will join together and go to war with the people who kill Caesar.
