Oftentimes, pop artists produce music about partying, drugs, and incoherent nonsense. All one has to do to confirm the accuracy of the former statement is turn on the radio only to hear Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop” playing on 25 different stations. Although, very rarely do we see artists that make music about relevant subjects such as bullying, distorted self-image, and low self-esteem, so rarely that in fact such subjects have become taboo.
