Benjamin Franklin was born on Milk street,in Boston, of January 6, 1706. He was the youngest male of seventeen children, his father married twice. Benjamin dropped out of school at the age of ten and at age twelve he was working as an apprentice as a printer. Benjamin became a contributor. The brothers argued and Benjamin ran away first heading to New York but ended up in Philadelphia working as a printer. After a few months he was persuaded by Governor Keith to go to London. He arrived there finding that Keith's promises meant nothing, so he again worked as a compositor, until he was brought back to Philadelphia. He had become wealthy from selling his business, and could study how he wanted. Benjamin Franklin is known for drafting the Declaration of Independence. Benjamin Franklin was the first United States post master general. He was married to Deborah Read, and they had three children. His inventions are bifocals, lightning rod, and the Franklin stove. Roger was described as a clothier ( Someone who sells men's clothing. ) Rogers' father taught him the trade of shoemaking. Roger only went to the common country schools. That was the only education he got as a child. In June 1743, Roger and his family moved to New Milford. Roger performed the journey on foot. Roger's job at New Milford was surveying the lands. He continued this job until Litchfield County organized itself. In 1748 Roger purchased the Gamaliel Baldwin house. He purchased it for $1,888.20 ( That's 1,500 pounds in the United Kingdom. )
Robert Morris was born on January 31, 1734 in Liverpool. It says that Robert Morris inherited a good deal ability and intellectual understanding, but he was a slow learner so the teachers were not impressed. Robert Greenway agreed to look after Robert Morris, he educated him, and put him in the way of business advancement. Robert Greenway put Robert Morris to work in a mercantile house, along with Charles and Thomas Willing, who had established in Philadelphia in 1726.
