In the story “Macbeth”, Macbeth made quite many enemies during the story, among those characters, I believe Banquo’s son Fleance would pose the threats to Macbeth. In Act 1, after the war was over, Macbeth and Banquo met the witches on their way back to the homeland. To Macbeth, the witches told him that Macbeth will be the next King of Scotland. To Banquo, they said that his offspring will be the kings of Scotland. Macbeth will be afraid that Fleance will take over his power, because witches said Banquo’s offspring will be the king after him. Fleance will also want to avenge to the people who killed his father.
