Rex can be seen as a Guardian, as referred to by Plato. Rex was someone who kept an eye on the pack and made sure that everything was kept in order by implementing rules. Also, he was focused on raising their children according to their blood line – as sheep dogs.
Babe, on the other hand, showed the qualities of a ruler taken from Plato’s description; how wise he can be, how brave, and how just. He was able to show that he is wise by trying to help other animals with their problem. He was brave for saving the sheep from being taken away and eaten by the wolves. And with his belief of not treating any other farm animals as inferior shows that he is just. The farm animals all had a part that helped Babe grow. Alongside all that, Babe showed how important equality is. He did so by taking care of everyone who depended on him and showing compassion towards them.

It was as if the movie was created with the intent of supporting and showing Plato’s ideals. Though hilarious at times and a bit overly dramatic, the movie was more meaningful than how it was
