The Jinnee is a myth that we have all heard about. We have all seen the movie Aladdin as well. Most of us probably have not heard about the story of the fisherman and the Jinnee. Well there is a big difference in both of these stories on how both of the Jennies are portrayed. One is a kids movie on one hand but the other is not so much a kid’s story but more or less a story for students in higher grades. The Jinnee is evil in one of these stories but we won’t spoil it for you now, we will be comparing Aladdin and the Fisherman and the Jinnee today.
Most of us know about the story Aladdin that has been out for children for years now.

The fisherman is out fishing one day and comes across a lamp, so his first thought is to rub it. When he does this a Jinnee comes out and of course the fisherman is scared for his life. When the Jinnee comes out he offers him three things to have, buried treasure, untold riches, and death. When the fisherman says that he doesn't want to die the Jinnee said there is no other way and started asking him how he wanted to die. The fisherman then tricks the Jinnee back into the lamp after arguing with him for a while. Then the fisherman tells the Jinne about a king that had a disease and how he was saved by a doctor that came to his kingdom. The king gets healed while playing polo because the doctor put medicine on the pole on the hammer the king was playing with. Then the king soon hears that the doctor was sent to kill him so then the king orders the doctor to be killed. The doctor asks to get his belongings and tells the king about this book that could solve all of his problems. The doctor poisons the books and while the king was flipping through pages he was licking his fingers and the poison got into his system. This ended up killing him and the doctor was beheaded before the king died. after the story is over the Fisherman throws the Jinnee back into the ocean and he stays there for another 1800
