Romeo and Juliet: Act IV Friar Lawrence is surprised how soon Paris and Juliet are getting married. Capulet is demanding that they get marry so soon. He wants them to marry so soon because he thinks she is crying over Tybalt. He wants to get her mind off it. Juliet walks into Friar Lawrence’s cell and Paris is happy to see her. While Paris is trying to be kind and sweet to Juliet, she is being sassy towards him. Juliet went to see Friar Lawrence to make her confessions. He asks for Paris to leave so the two of them could talk. Juliet wants the mess to be cleared up and to get out of it. Juliet says that she would kill herself if she is married to another man. Lady Capulet goes into her room when she hears all the loud screams and yells from the Nurse. They are all so shocked and surprised by Juliet being dead. Lady Capulet is going on about how Juliet was her only child and death has took her from them. Capulet says that when his child is buried, so are all his joys. Friar Lawrence tells everyone to calm down and stop the yelling. He tells everyone that she is now in a better place and will be given eternal life. Capulet says that all the things that they prepared for a wedding will now be used for a funeral. Everything will be used for the opposite purpose. Peter has the musicians play sad music. The musicians are refusing to play sad songs. He even threatens them but they still want to be stubborn. Peter pulls out a knife to threaten them. He asks them what “music with silver sound” means even though he knows the answer to it. The musicians say it is because silver has a sweet sound. Peter says it is because musicians have no gold to make music with. When Peter leaves, the musicians say how annoying and rude he was to them. They are going to wait for the mourners and then eat
