Growth Strategies:
The main similarities between SFX and Barbour they both want and need to grow in their businesses and attracting new customers. As SFX wants to increase awareness of their services by using market penetration such as advertisement and posters and product development trying to attract more students from other locations outside of Wandsworth and Lambeth by introducing new courses to the school. As Barbour wants to grow by increasing profits and sales by using market penetration to increase the awareness of the business through advertising, product development introducing new products to attract new customers and market development introducing new stores to more next customers.

As Barbour will sell assets by closing down stores that are not meeting the targets and to downsize on the staff. Therefore, this will help to save costs in the business also Barbour’s will be saving money where it can contributed to somewhere else in the business that could be improved on. As SFX will downsize on staff because the government has had some recent cuts this means SFX will need to cancel some courses as they wouldn’t the money to keep the staff therefore making them redundant.
The main differences between SFX and Barbour that Barbour is able to look into its own resources and assets to help the business in order to survive as it would be too difficult for them to do because they’re a big company. On the other hand, SFX many not have the same resources and assets as they’ll resources and assets will be very limited on its own and will need the extra help and guidance from the government in order for it to survive. …show more content…
In addition, they will both use the same ways to have high quality image and service through having good customers service and staying in contact with their customer by send regular e-mailing and letters.
The main difference between SFX and Barbour that Barbour will have more money in order to have better ways to have better relationship marketing with their customers for example sending catalogues and offering different services by repairing clothing for free to attract new customers and keeping their existing customers. Whereas, SFX will have limited ways to have better relationship marketing with their customer by only having simple methods for instance
